Supercross Anaheim results: Tomac, Lawrence win - NBC Sports

Ken Roczen went on to win the main event! It was Ken Roczen with the holeshot with his teammates Chase Sexton right behind him. Adam Cianciarulo was third with Barcia and McElrath rounding the top five. Webb was 7th and Tomac 10th with Ferrandis 12th. After a good battle for the lead Chase Sexton went down and got back on the bike in third. Chase charged back hard and make his way back not second passing Cianciarulo.

And Sexton went down again! He moved down to ninth. Barcia was in second, Jason Anderson in third and Webb in fourth on lap 12! Marvin Musquin took himself and Malcolm Stewart out. All the while Eli Tomac was back in 7th without much speed to move forward. The battle was between Anderson and Barcia with Barcia taking him over the berm! After the happened Cooper Webb moved into second but was 12 seconds back from Roczen! Chase Sexton climbed back into fourth. Chase Sexton won the first heat of the night. Eli Tomac and Marvin Musquin was right behind them. On the fourth lap Sexton made the pass on McElrath while Musquin fell back as he hit a tough block when Justin Barcia ran him high then fell. Soon after Cooper Webb went down as he pushed the front wheel in front of Tomac. As is his habit, Cooper Webb rode a patient and smart race, refusing to get caught up in the mayhem that characterized the race. His results showed how important it was to battle the champion week in and week out.

Dylan Ferrandis missed several Supercross rounds last year to injury and was not quite able to regain his footing in the Motocross season. After having one of his best seasons in , he hoped to reset his season and finished fourth in the standings.
